Our Bed & Breakfast is located near the town of Alhaurin el Grande, a functional spanish town just beginning to attract tourism. It's main industry still being almonds, tropical fruits and olive oil. It is situated in the Sierras de Mijas, an area that offers hill walking, horse riding, mountain biking and bird watching. Our house is just a 5 minute drive away from the town, surrounded by stunning countryside and wonderful views. The coastal towns of Mijas, Fuengirola and Marbella and the beautiful beaches of the mediterranean are all within a short drive. The city of Malaga is also just a short drive away and has many interesting sites to visit. The Picasso museum, the cathederal, locally called 'the one armed lady' as one of its towers was never completed, the old Moorish fort of the Alcazaba, Castillo Gibralfaro. Or just walk around the old town with its narrow streets, and take in a few tapas at the many street bars or restaurants. The beautiful city of Ronda is also within striking distance and offers fantastic views from its cliff top perch. The bullring in Ronda is the oldest in Spain and tours are conducted daily.
